While in Grant Park, Chicago this past weekend for Lollaplaooza 2010, soul singer Erykah Badu sat down with Billboard.com to discuss her new jewelry line, her most talked about “Window Seat” visual, and an upcoming documentary which she says she’s been filming for the past 13 years.
TheSmokingSection drops off the Control Freaq x Creative Control-directed clip for Erykah Badu’s “Window Seat (Remix)” featuring Ricky Rozay. We then get a piece of the Sylvia Striplin-sampled “Turn Me Away (Get MuNNY),” which can be found on Ms. Badu’s New Amerykah Part Two (Return of the Ankh) in stores and online now.
Rozay, Tip, Kiss and Badu tell their Maybach Music tales over an immaculate J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League production. I’m going to leap out and call this the BEAT OF THE YEAR.
Telfon Don hits the streets July 20th. Oh and one more thing, “Maybach Music 3″ > “Live Fast, Die Young”

Before you call out Rick Ross and Jay-Z for being apart of occult or Freemasonry, the song title “Free Mason” is apparently a tribute to a mutual friend in jail named Mason. Teflon Don hits stores July 20th.
Updated: John Legend appears on “Free Mason.” Jadakiss will not appear on “Maybach Music III.” The iTunes bonus track is “Audio Meth.”
“I look at some other videos. i’m not naming names, because I don’t want that to be mentioned. There is the thing with sexuality. I’m naked for 13 seconds, and these people are naked the whole time and gyrating and saying come “lick on my lollipop,” and “suck on my cinnamon roll,” and, you know, suggesting sex. People are uncomfortable with sexuality that’s not for male consumption. could be ‘cause I did it in public too. Do you think people would have been complaining if I had on high-heel shoes?”
On her better half:
“I am a big fan and a supporter of [Jay Electronica's] evolution and growth as an artist. I write all his rhymes. I’m joking. [laughs.] I’m always amazed and impressed with the things he comes up with. He definitely does what a partner is supposed to do, that is, evolve you.”
